My personal accomplishments in the 79th Legislature include:

helping block all efforts to increase taxes;
passing the largest number of bills and floor amendments in our 16-member Dallas House Delegation;
creating 2 new criminal courts in Dallas (first increase since 1989);
significantly raising jury service pay (first increase since 1957);
significantly raising pay for judges and district attorneys (first increase since 1997);
enacting significant election law reform;
having my voting record rated one of the most conservative of our Delegation;
serving as one of six House Committee Chairmen in our Delegation, and
serving as the only member from our Delegation on the important Regulated Industries Committee (which passed historic telecommunication reform).
